Firewood Boilers - About Cleaning

About Cleaning - Unequalled cleaning - compare with other firewood boilers!

If you have used firewood previously you will know that it requires more work than, for example, oil firing. A modern firewood boiler reduces the effort, our boilers in particular.

A new boiler that is not cared for soon loses its efficiency; firewood soils the heat transferring surfaces. Soot insulates so the heat just goes straight up the chimney. To avoid this, surfaces should be cleaned
regularly.

The flues on all our firewood boilers are cleaned from the same shutter on the front of the boiler. The flues are rounded so there are no inaccessible corners. All shutters are hinged and are opened with a simple grip.

To avoid having to go down on your knees to put in firewood and rake ash, place the boiler on a stand. The stand has a practical ashbox that safely stores the ash. Rake from the boiler directly into the box and avoid ash on the floor.

Put a small bunch of sticks in the bottom and then fill the whole chamber with wood. With the gasol lighter provided it takes little more than a minute to light the boiler. You quickly get a better and more environmental burning at the same time as you avoid waiting for combustion before you can fill with firewood.
